HSOC Highway Sign Unveiling

On June 26, 2003 the new sign designating the Henry Shaw Ozark Corridor was unveiled in a brief ceremony at Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center attended by several members of the HSOC Board of Directors, representatives of MODOT, Missouri State Senator Michael Gibbons and a representative of State Senator John Griesheimer. Immediately after the ceremony MODOT employees installed the sign by the westbound lane of I-44 at the merging access lane from I-270. An identical sign was placed by the eastbound lane of I-44 near the Gray Summit Highway 100 interchange.

The Board of Directors would like to express their gratitude to their partners at MODOT, Senator Gibbons and Senator Griesheimer for their valuable contributions that brought this project to completion.
